Kassala + GedarefIndicative geography

Indicative targets subject to funding, partner validation, feasibility and operating conditions. International financing has not been awarded.

The challenge

Conflict-related disruption to energy, production, logistics and markets has raised operating costs and reduced the resilience of farms and small enterprises.

Proposed solution

NILE Sudan brings productive-use renewable energy, smart agriculture, digital services, market coordination and decision tools into one governable programme.

Implementation approach

Field discovery, partnership with qualified counterparts, indicator design, then a geographically limited pilot before any scale-up.

Intended outcomes

Clearer productive operation for participating farms and SMEs, stronger market connectivity, and a governable digital platform within the indicative 50–100 beneficiary range.

Risks

Risks include financing delays, field operating constraints, and dependence on qualified engineering and extension partners whose contracts are not yet in place.

Assumptions

Figures are indicative and subject to financing, partner verification, feasibility and operating conditions. International financing has not been awarded.

Partnership opportunities

Development, technology, energy, agriculture and research partners can discuss their role in the proposed pilot, which remains an unfunded concept.
